Meditation is considered one of the ways to achieve harmony between mind and body.
It is perfect for those who lead an active lifestyle. By calming your thoughts, you can slow down and relax a little.
A few beginner misconceptions:
You need to meditate in the lotus position. What should I do if my legs don’t bend like that?
This posture is not necessary for meditation, you can just meditate with your legs crossed, you can sit on a chair with your feet on the floor, or on our meditation cushion with your hands on your knees. Just keep your back straight (this is important!! If your back is a wheel, after a couple of minutes it will get tired and you will be constantly distracted). That is why we have created our magic meditation pillow, which from the back helps to relax, meditate and feel comfortable.
I do not advise lying down to meditate – there is a chance to just fall asleep.
⭐During meditation there should be no thoughts.
Your thoughts are not going anywhere. They have come and will continue to come. When meditating, it is important not to get involved, not to try to analyze or discuss some problem within yourself. All thoughts must pass you by. It’s like a man on the sidelines. Cars drive by (your thoughts), but you just watch them and don’t try to get in the car and drive away.
⭐You can only meditate with your eyes closed!
Not necessarily, for professionals it is possible to meditate with open eyes, and in any place, up to public transport.
To sum up, meditation helps our creation to come into balance, calm down, slow down. It is enough to give yourself only 10-15 minutes a day.
